How it works
Converting a salary to an hourly rate — or an hourly wage to annual pay — sounds trivial until the details bite: how many hours a week do you actually work, and how many weeks a year are you actually paid? A €45,000 salary is €21.63/hour at 40 hours across 52 paid weeks, but €24.04 at 36 hours — the Dutch part-time standard.
This salary to hourly calculator works in both directions. Enter an annual salary to see your true hourly, daily, weekly and monthly rate, or start from an hourly wage to see what it adds up to over a year. Use your contracted hours for the honest number — unpaid overtime silently lowers your real hourly rate.

Hourly = AnnualSalary ÷ (HoursPerWeek × PaidWeeks)
Annual = HourlyRate × HoursPerWeek × PaidWeeksMost European employees are paid for 52 weeks including statutory vacation, so 52 is the right default; freelancers should count only billable weeks.
